GREDDY supreme sp
I recently installed my exhaust and it came with a joint pipe. So when I connected that to my muffler , after a couple days it was fine. Then water started to leak, it started drip slowly. Then it'll stop. At first I didn't think anything of it then it does t everytime I warm up my car. I haven't turn on the ac, or heater the last few weeks.
Any solution to this? I used the gasket it came with, but not the donut gasket Sent from my SM-N910T using Tapatalk |
Where is it leaking from? Did you tighten everything down properly?
You're also supposed to reuse the donut gasket. |

if there's condensation/slight water coming out the muffler tips, then that is normal. it will go away once the cats are properly warmed up.

But if it comes out of the flanges it is not sealed and leaking (ever so slightly).

I would see if you have it tightened all the way and see if you can reuse your original donut gasket.

I believe that a regular flat gasket goes there. I would just loosen the bolts and re tighten. Make sure everything is lined up properly and then check for leaks again.

I have the same exhaust. Donut gasket goes between front-pipe and mid-pipe, flat gasket goes from mid-pipe to joint-pipe, and then another flat gasket goes from joint-pipe to muffler. |
When you jack up your car, keep it jacked up in stands or whatever you use and start the engine after you tighten the bolts. Use your hand to feel around the connection to ensure that you have no exhaust leaks. That way, you won't have to jack up your car again later if you do have a leak. It would also help if you have a buddy to modulate the pedal to increase airflow through the pipes to make sure it's sealed. If you still have a leak, use liquid gasket on both sides of the actual gasket
