Arm Rest help
1 Attachment(s)
so I was going through the process of installing the OEM arm rest when I dropped the little rubber grommet and now I can't find it. anyone know where I can find a replacement? I've attached a picture as well as the link to the install instructions to give you an idea of what I'm referring to. the rubber piece I need is labeled "B".

Yup, I lost some too. I swear they went through the holes I drilled in the console.
If you go to your local Home Depot or Lowes, find the aisle that has all the screws, bolts, etc. These plugs can be found in one of the pull out drawers (usually the one that has other rubber and plastic components. As a side note, look for some black screws instead of the shiny ones that came with the arm rest. It looks much better when everything is the same color. Hope that helps! |

A little late on this thread but was reading some old posts and came across this. I had the exact same problem and wanted to post what I did so maybe I could help some future owner who runs into the same situation.
I used drywall screw anchors that you can find at any hardware store. They work fantastic and the hold is even better than what is provided with the armrest. See pics below. For install, drill appropriate size hole, screw in white plastic anchor (see photo) then using the metal screws secure the armrest. Hope someone finds this helpful. |
Pardon the "topic swerve" but in case anyone else has the 3 position center rest and finds it sliding back with the slightest touch I can't find any way to velcro it forward so I guess I'll just shim it. I could not find anyone else complaining...
