Non-86 accomplishments thread
We're not always doing stuff to our cars. What other cool thing did you do today?
I slotted the hinge mounts on my front-loading washing machine so I could adjust the door. Nailed it. |
I posted in this thread.

I went to work, came home, showered, ate, and planning to go to bed soon so I can repeat the same shit all over again tomorrow. FML

I came to terms with myself that I spend way too much time on the computer and resolved to restrict myself more. Set two timers on phone and gave myself one hour internet time and one hour gaming time a day. This post took about 48 seconds off my internet time. Gotta run.

I took about 100 close up shots of many of the ornaments on our Christmas tree, plus a bunch of area and distant shots, then about 20 minutes total of panning videos all around, in, out, up, and down the tree. This year's tree was, for some reason, one that was just beautiful, about 12' tall, and yes, it's still up but we're going to take it down soon, sadly.
We've been together since 1982, and almost every ornament on the tree is "singleton." Each one marks an occasion or a rememberance, an event, a vacation, a birth, a marriage, a gift from friends past and present.. they all tell a story. The plan is to piece together the video with the still shots, then as each ornament becomes the central focus, cut away to other stills or video (when available) of those moments, or at least a voice over if no other media exists, to tell the story of our family over the last 33 years (and counting) through the tree. It's going to be quite the project, but I got some great shots and I'm looking forward to it. It'll be something nice to pass down to my kids, across to my wife, and up to my father if I'm the first to pass on. I also watched Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos win the Super Bowl, and it couldn't have happened to a nicer, more deserving guy. Peyton is probably the most intelligent, hard-working, dedicated, unselfish, sharpest man to ever play the game. Yes, I know that the Bronco defense is what won the game, and Peyton's physical prowess is not what it used to be, but he's still a genius. Sooo... yeah... a good day. Barry |
OK, that was yesterday. Today, I ground, steeped, and am now drinking coffee and wasting time on the internet so far.

I almost made it to work on time. Almost.
