Tail lights won't turn on after a car wash
Washed the car, no high pressure hose everything was closed, regular wash, checked engine and all is dry.
The problem is I turned on my parking lights (I have diode dynamics Always On DRLs) and usually the DRLs turn on with them, but it didn't neither did the tail lights. I then turned on headlights for night driving and the DRLs didnt turn on, nor the tail lights. Or my license plate lights. It basically looks like I'm driving without lights from the back but the front has them, no DRLs of course which I should. Brakes seem to work fine however. Also the Emegerncy lights. Any ideas?? Sounds like a relay problem.

It's plug and play, anyways I put back the original, and the problem was still there..so it isin't the Diode Dynamics kit, or maybe it could of caused a bigger problem? I'm not that big on electrical stuff. "Middle brown one on top of the two greys" http://i.imgur.com/isDPnex.jpg Yeah changed it back to original and it still didnt work. |
Um..as I plugged back in the regular headlight plugs, and removed the Diode Dynamics DRLs kit, I noticed some stuff, at first I thought it was rats because I have heard online of rats chewing up cables but I don't have rats nor park anywhere where I'd imagine it, after a closer analysis, my conclusion is heat..It's weird though, a lot of users here use this kit I believe and it's quite popular for the BRZ..I wonder why I got this issue on my 2016 :/. I ordered during black friday and got the product 2 months later, do you guys think this is the reason why the tail lights dont turn on? Should I contact Diode Dynamics,? I'd at least want to know If I got an inferior product or something..Also note, my engine is completely stock w/ just a K&N drop in filter. Haven't tracked it, it's been my daily so far and I don't push it. Stock engine temps can't be this hot right?
