Rocket Bunny Install advise
 

Okay ladies! Picked up a Rocket Bunny kit acouple days ago, before it gets here i kind of want some advise on wheel size and fitment. I want it to be hella functional and i want it to be setup aggressive, I've got some decent wheels on it now but I'm not so sure they will work for the kit without looking kinda off. Do i need LCA's? I've got a shitty pair of megan coilovers on it right now with camber plates... i'll post pics here in a sec......!

If you want it to be functional and you plan on keeping it NA, you should probably just gut as much weight out as you can, get proper set of coilovers or custom valved set once you figure out your ride height, and you'll most likely need LCA's, toe arms, FLCAS, adj sway bar end links F+R, might want to upgrade brakes and possibly re gear the FD if you go with a big enough wheel tire combo. IDK up to you really whatever you consider functional that works for you.

Do you think i should invest in a camber plate setup or LCA's first? What ride hight do you recommend? Should i bother with sways until i get a comfertable height? I live in Los Angeles, roads are bad out here.

The only real "functional" set-up with Rocket Bunny, in my opinion (feel free to advise otherwise) are wheels with proper offsets and not run with spacers unless they're good ones and properly installed/torqued.
If you're asking if you need LCAs, that's worrisome as you should know how low you want to go. Functional height will probably be not slammed, so you shouldn't need too much camber adjustment. Just don't go cheap on the wheels and suspension for the sake of fitting rocket bunny minimum wheel requirements :/. Cheap route is Forgestar F14s with probably a 20mm spacer.
Before I sold my wheels made for Rocket Bunny specs, I remember it set as 18x10.5 would need around -30 to -40 offset depending if you want flush or poke and for the front 18 x 9.5 0 to -10. Lowering would need around 2inches average depending on tire size and slight camber adjustment.

Funny you say that, because i love the f14's, only down side is that i just put brand new hankook v12's on my rims i have now T.T.... I really dont want to go spacers, ive heard horror stories.

Spacers aren't as bad as you think, especially if you're going Rocket Bunny without FI, your suspension/ride is already hindered. StayCrushing ran spacers with his original RB setup as mentioned on one of the threads here.
What wheels do you currently have?
Also, word of advice, don't use the word "rims." Makes you sound.. Idk lol trust me.

If you've got steady income and I mean at least 500 to spares month, contact ModBargains in regards to ordering some F14s. Look at what StayCrushing ran/what people usually run for RB in terms of specs and apply for PayPal Credit. Gets you 6 months financing with no interest if you pay it off in 6 months. Figure around 1500$ you'll be paying 250 or so a month for a nice set of wheels.
Or you can look for used ones, but anything more than 18 x 11 in the rear would make your car super sluggish :/.
Take time on the car! No rush to RB because tbh, and not to sound mean, but Spring is coming and that's when people debut their cars. EVERYONE is gonna have rocket bunny or some widebody setup..

Yeah man you sound rushed. Take your time. Go step by step and diagnose what you want to improve as you go. There is ALOT that goes along with a widebody.

And what is hellfunctional? Are you tracking? Or just don't want to rub?
If your not tracking there is absolutely nothing wrong with running spacers... Just get hubcentric ones. Your def going to need LCA's...Wether or not you need toe arms depends on how low you go and how much camber your ok with. But theres a good chance you'll need those as well.

No i hear you! I'm going to take my time with this, i think I'm going to keep the Traklites's for now, might pick up a Voodoo or Stance LCA setup next week. I'd rather save up for some F14's, i feel like new wheels are more of a want then a need right now. Building up the suspension and invest in a nicer set of coils and camber plates. I'm trying to keep the car up at 24 1/4 all the way around, should i go higher or lower...? Will the kit add a lot of length at the bottom? I've never seen an RB kit in person.

No i hear you Olson, like i said in the paragraph above, i agree 100%. I think I'm going to do LCA's first get my camber right then mess around with wheels and other additions. I'm going to start a build thread here today, see if i can obtain as much advise from every one as possible! Hellafuntional is like where you camber the car out but it doesn't bottom out at every turn. "No wheel rub"

Would personally invest in wheels first unless the wheels you're running are around 0 or less offset. You don't wanna be RB on skinny wheels. I rather have RB with nice wheels that fit the fenders and be a bit high rather than be lowered on wheels that have a huge gap between the fender and the wheel itself. Get LCAs, definitely to save tire wear and have the adjustability, but don't skimp on wheels. They're vital for RB.
