**SOLD - Kosei K6R 17x8 17x9 5x100 - Toyo R888 275/40R17**
Up for sale is an almost new set of light weight Japanese racing wheels and R-compound tires. The wheels and tires were purchased as a set from the Tire Rack August of last year, with tires dated 07th week of 2015. I have done 3 autocrosses and maybe 500 miles of freeway driving commuting to the events, so they have little wear (5 out of 6/32nd new).
While the K6R is slightly heavier than the RPF1, it's a much stronger design. Just search RPF1 flex and you'll see what I'm referring to. These wheels are also flow formed, which makes them stronger than traditional low pressure casting.
The R888 has very high amounts of grip, just shy of dedicated racing tires, such as the Hoosier A7. They run wide, so a 235 has almost the same contact patch as a 255 street tire, and a 275 has about the same tread width as a 295 street tire.
I used this setup on a supercharged FR-S. The reason for the staggering is because of the OEM Torsen's high lockup ratio. The car was set up from the factory to slide the rear end out, so along with boost, the much wider rear tire really helps to keep the car settled. The 235 fits in the front fenders well without rubbing liners or requiring pulling fenders. The reason I'm selling is because the car is my daily driver, and I don't plan on autocrossing the car at all this year. No point of having it sit.
