Value of the FRS after Scion closes it's doors

This is my first post here, so forgive me if this has already but touched on, but as many of you know, Scion will close it's door soon (if they haven't already). I'm concerned with what will happen to the value of the FRS. Anyone willing to take a good guess or have any knowledge?

It's gonna go down because people always wanted a Toyota 86 rather than Scion (hence all the rebadging). So if you can get a new Toyota MY2017 FRS, then why get an old Scion one?

It is going to plummet. The new model has a facelift and a more wanted brand name AND possibly a small power bump. Nobody will want the last gen.

The real question is why are you planning on selling your FRS????

Good old STI, here I was thinking all they could do is black wheels and a lip spoiler. Good of Toyota to jump on the wagon, Scion never would have!

Plummeting. Sell it now!!!

I don't agree that the value is going to instantly go down for Scion FR-S'. Importantly if the facelifted Toyota FR-S doesn't agree with the public (ugly, less true to "sports car" tennants, not much more power). The Gen 1 FR-S may remain the more desirable car. It's still an incredible chassis. The facelift should come as a 2018 model so we'll know more then, until more data becomes available, the jury is still out.

You do know I am kidding right? Just gota be sure lol

It's going to be exactly the same as if Scion didn't close their doors.

Slight dip on other models because of 'closing dealership no warranty coverage' fears that hit Pontiac, Saturn, Plymouth etc. 86 is niche and will continue as Toyota so less impact on this model.
