Insurance Premium will go down on Scion?

Just wondering, but since they won't be making anymore Scions. Does this mean our Insurance premium would be cheaper in the near future since there will be less drivers?

I don't see why it would..?

Insurance companies aren't dumb, they could just look at statistics for the BRZ or the Toyota rebranded MY2017+. Assuming they're not already doing that.

Hmmm....dunno bout that....car insurance is rated by drivers records and such....would be nice if the premiums would drop...

Insurance = Driver info, driving record, cost to fix, likely hood of being totalled in an accident, safety, and then "what the car is" and who is driving/wrecking them.

I'm surprised mine aren't higher for this car already..

Much more goes into insurance rates than just drivers records, it will only get higher from here if anything.

After hitting 2 deer and a raccoon in 3 months(the raccoon and one of the deer 3 days apart), I'm praying my insurance doesn't go UP...

I think when I got my insurance, the Make of my car was under "Toyota" and the Model was "Scion: FR-S". All the scions were listed under Toyota already. It's not going to make any difference at all.

Brand no longer exists, supply of replacement cars dwindles, places that can service it disappear, cost to repair and replace rises, premiums skyrocket.

You're fucked.

Blows my mind that people actually think that the fr-s is a true scion car like the TC, xb, xd, iA, iM. It's a rebranded gt86 for fuck's sake and the only thing that is "Scion" on the car are the badges. The car should have been branded as a toyota in the first place. Smh

Nothing will change. All this is silly.

Mines fairly cheap with a 100$ deductible, I don't see it going down, maybe up with the market, but def not down

Most scions are rebranded Toyotas.

The only exception I know of is the tC which was only sold in the U.S. and built on a Toyota sedan platform sold in other markets.

nothing changes. most insurance carriers already categorize our cars as
Make: Toyota
Model: ScionFRS

the code used for our cars is also unaffected by the brand name change. i.e.- a "Q" rated car is still a "Q" rated car once it's rated and in the system.
