Simply put, when people thought they were getting a dream car at 20K nobody blinked at 200 HP. When they saw the actual tag, that's when you saw people saying they should get more.

Ok, if using what you're saying as a fact/truth, what other 2-door (either 2 seat or 2+2 or even roadster) RWD is sub 3000lbs and "driver" oriented for the same price or cheaper that is "more" powerful [brand new]?

Answer me that.

NO NAME CHANGES PLANNED

That said, they do say "GT86" will be tested to see how the market likes it.

Who do I talk to to put in my vote for GT86?

There was never an official announcement for say. All I recall are interviews were Toyota officials hinted at a low 20s starting price range. So it depends on what your views of low 20s is. 21, 22, or 23k? Back in 2012 the MSRP was $24,500. IMO the price wasn't too much of a miss. Like I said before, inflation is a b*tch.

There isn't. Thats a good reason why a lot of us are in these. Doesnt mean there arent other options for the price, lol.

iM is already built as the Toyota Auris at the same factory.
FR-S is already built as the Toyota 86 at the same factory.
iA is already built as the Toyota Yaris at the same factory.

It's literally zero extra parts to develop to do this change, all you need to do is stop making a few emblems at the factories.

I would bet that this was in talks for a relatively extended period but that the final decision happened recently.

Jeff

I'm aware of that, I was just throwing in a hypothetical situation that although very small in size(change wise) would still affect Toyota's backend quite a bit.

What?

how are there options for the price if I JUST literally ask what other options there are and you said none?

why are you trying to compare apples to oranges?
