Leaking valve stem - Warranty?
My rear passenger side tire is leaking about 5psi a week and I'm fairly sure it's leaking from the valve stem. Would this be covered under the 3 year warranty? It's not a huge hassle to refill it every other week or so, but it has grown old after a few months.

Indeed. I'd check for a small nail first, since punctures are not covered.

They may be in a generous mood and fix it for you. Personally, I'd just stop into a auto repair/tire shop and have them find and fix the leak. If when you spray some soapy water around the valve stem ..... you see bubbles ..... then the leak is at the stem. However, like @jawn speculates, my money would be on that you have a small puncture in the tire. humfrz |
Going with the crowd here. I think it may be a small puncture.

sub'd. I have a similar issue with a winter tire on stock rim. After having changed the valve, sanded the rim and reseated the bead, I still have a leak. Haven't gotten around to the soapy water but I don't care too much either.
Curious what your problem ends up being but I'd be pretty surprised if you got a warranty fix. |
Short answer: no
Long answer: read the warranty booklets. No. |
