WE'VE GOT 86 Meet! July 10th, 2016**UPDATE#1**

Last year we had 130 FRS/BRZs Enthusiasts show up for our first "We've Got 86" hosted by Toyota of Olympia! This year we are teaming up with Rodney and Toyota of Olympia once again to bring you another awesome event! We will be using the Ridge Motorsports Park located in Shelton, WA. This will not only be a Meet and Greet but also a Track day which will consist of a Road Course and Drift/Autocross course! There will be vendors, food, entertainment, and lots of prizes and shirts to be given away! This will be a great time for our Washington 86 enthusiasts to meet up once again with our Oregon enthusiasts for smiles, fun, and TRACK TIME! More details to follow as we get closer! :thumbup:UPDATE May 07, 2016:thumbup: WE'VE GOT 86 UPDATE! July 10, 2016! Alright guys/gals! Had a meeting with the team at Toyota and this is what we have down so far for our 86 Sessions members/supporters! Please note that it may be subject to change, but for now, this is what the event entails with associated cost. $75 for the full track day= minimum of 6 laps on the full road course, unlimited runs on the gymkhana course, 3 runs on the Go-kart course. $45 Gymkhana Course, 3 runs on the Go Kart. $25 entrance fee for driver and vehicle w/option in participating in various events to include a loud exhaust competition and various other events to be announced, 1 run on the Go Kart. $5 spectator/passenger fee Additional runs at the Go kart can be purchased on the day of the event. As many of you know this is an AWESOME deal for the amount of track/seat time that will be available for our 86 enthusiasts. I'm sure many of you can vouch for how much track time actually costs outside of this special event! I personally am looking forward to the Gymkhana event which is a mix of autocross and drifting! If this is your first time, I encourage you to give this a try, no pressure at all and you get to actually "test" out your new mods and get a feel for your vehicle in a safe environment! To top it off Professional Drifter Ken Gushi and Professional Racecar Driver Michele Abbate will be in attendance! Various vendors to include Bob Watanabe from Drift Office and our good friends from CHIBICARS will also be in attendance as well as other top name vendors! There will be a car show and meet & greet as well! Trophies will also be given out! If you have your own helmet please bring it! Im sure the Ridge will have loaners available, but for those veterans out there bring them! Registration will begin ending of May, beginning of June. 86s galore, pro drivers, food, entertainment, track time, meet & greet, prizes, and most importantly building stronger bonds and friendships within our 86 enthusiasts and supporters, this is gonna be AWESOME! |

Toyota of Olympia has been awesome and has taken care of the bill specifically for our event. All that they are asking for is commitment and support which we must come through on our end as 86 enthusiasts.
We have also limited the track portion to 60 drivers to maximize track time. Please keep in mind that there will be a track fee at approximately $75 and a registration fee for non participants. However, there will be ALOT of things going on that will make up for the registration fee :) |
That's amazing! Assume official signups for that come at a later date?
Side question, hypothetically if someone were to show up to the drift event on 4 compact spares ala Chris Harris in that C63 video would it pass tech? :D |

Yes, sign up will be closer to the date! I highly encourage those to sign up as soon as it becomes available!

No problem, If you have any questions feel free to ask here. I will make announcements in here and on Facebook as well. I will also be setting up a Facebook event page which will focus on the event and what's in store.
My primary focus is taking care and making sure our positive 86 members who have supported us last year and who continue to support us get the needed information and track time. I can't stress to you guys how thankful I am for making our 86 voice heard! With your continued support, we can make events like these happen! |
