Short OFT appreciation thread
 

I installed my OFT today along with their headers and a Tomei 80r exhaust and this being my first ever time messing with any sort of tuning I was expecting to get confused but I have never come across such a user friendly device. Within minutes my car had been totally transformed, while still not fast my car is worlds better now thanks to that little tablet. Anyone on the fence on getting one just do it and thank me later!

When you used the OFT, did it happen to decrease the noise in any way? I'm planning on getting an OFT for the Stage 2 UEL tune.

With the off the shelf tunes OFT is not going to decrease the noise. You can edit some of the tables to remove the increased noise on cold start if you want to. It will also change the exhaust note over ~4K rpm and it seems to be louder but for regular driving around town it does not seem to change a stock car's noise level. Adding headers and other exhaust components will do more to change the noise.

As some one else mentioned it won't decrease or increase sound levels really unless your referring to maybe VVT kicking on a bit earlier. The only sound modification you can do to the tune is to get rid of loud cold starts

Yeah I got the Tomei 80r with the HKS dual resonated FP and open flash UEL headers and it's quite loud....well really loud... But i love the sound so
