NEW: OFH2, OFH3, v2.073 OTS maps and OFT350 E85 dyno results!

Hi guys,
For a few months now, we have been quietly working on a follow-up to our popular OpenFlash Header. While there wasn't a whole lot to improve on, we did what we can to maximize performance and value.

Introducing the OpenFlash Header 2 (OFH2)
The primary difference is an improved merge collector:

It's different inside as well:

So that is the new and improved OFH2. The OpenFlash Header 3 (OFH3) takes it a bit further by integrating an over-pipe:

Also has the same fancy merge collector as the OFH2:

No crushes or kinks. Just smooth exhaust flow to the front pipe. The over-pipe connects to the header by a slip fit (clamp included) which allows easy installation and post-install adjustability (this is good). Unlike other headers with integrated over-pipes we've seen, this one fits perfectly with plenty of clearance around the motor mount. No rubbing or rattling regardless of what motor mounts you have (stock or otherwise).

I'm happy to say that all those who ordered OFHs in the past week will be receiving OFH2s in the mail (surprise!). They have already shipped. And of course, both the OFH2 and OFH3 are in stock at this time. Pricing and info is on the new (but still work-in-progress!) website.

If you have any questions, please let us know here or by emailing us at sales@openflashperformance.com.

OFT350 E85 Dyno Results

This is a fun bit of kit. It starts off as a SBD/Zage turbo kit. We add a cold air intake, upgraded PCV valve and plug in an OFT and do some custom tuning. Nothing we have already done for nearly 100 customers running this same exact set-up. We call it the OFT350. What's new is that we started developing E85 maps. Things have progressed nicely. Drivability is perfect. Cold start is pretty darn good. And power is awesome.

On the dyno, it made 320whp at 10psi. And 343whp at 12psi:

That's a big step up from the ~280whp it puts down on 91oct. What's more is that these new numbers are done with absolutely no fuel system upgrades. It is still running stock injectors, fuel pump, etc,. It even has the original spark plugs at 20k miles. The purpose of this developing is to integrate it into OFT FlexFuel tunes courtesy of ztan who tirelessly developed open source flex fuel code from scratch! Still have some more testing to do before we launch E85 turbo support. But I'm really happy with how things are progressing so far!

Thanks for listening. All these updates (and more) can be found on our Facebook Page. Like us :)

Cheers
Shiv

New header looks great!

Griever423 01-29-2016 11:21 PM

Are these the new maps you were working on that were optimized specifically for the OFH in the other thread?

I'm liking that turbo kit more and more... You're sure there won't be a need for any fuel system upgrades with that kind of power on E85? I'm surprised I guess?

Killing it! Love the constant updates!

Jesus. This is amazing. I was just about to place my OFH order too! Even more of a reason now.

Anyone came in here thinking the OFH 3 would be an EL header announcement? :P

Darn, too bad I just got my OFH in December. I wonder if it would be worth it to try to sell it and buy the new version 3..

Says right in the OP that OFH3 is OFH2 with the addition of the over pipe.

Does it say it in the title though? An Ace header/4-2-1 competitor would be awesome.
