Fan static/humming noise

Anyone had experience with fan static/humming noise coming out of the passenger side vent? when I turn off the fan the noise is gone.

You may have something like paper or a leaf in the blower motor

Anyone remember when the heater in a car was mounted on the inside of the firewall, right where you could get to it .... ??

Fixing the fan was a snap .......:D

(I gotta get a grip on my so-called life .... :()

Had this. Had the dealer replace the pos motor. Sound went away for 3 month. Its back.

Crickets under the hood.
Static on the inside.

I think the engineers figured these will cancel each other out.

NOT..

anyways. I will be spraying some silicon grease on that shit.
Ill tell you how it goes in two months when i actually get around to doing it.

I had a similar noise pop up this year...ended up having to change the blower (heater) fan motor. Take it to the dealer. If that is the problem, it should be covered on your 2015. My 2013 was out of warranty so I had to fix it myself. IIRC, the part was around $175 CDN.
@humfrz and others who may be wondering, if you end up having to do this, it is actually very easy on this car...no need to rip the dash apart. The blower motor is located directly below the glove box, and all you need to remove is 3 screws and an electrical plug. The whole job takes 10-15 minutes from start to finish.

I'm going to replace it with this one. Hope the noise goes away.

has anyone heard a random chirp (sounds like a bird chirp) coming from the passage side of the dash when the heat is on? Goes away as soon as you turn off the heat so suspect it is from the blower motor.

Did the silicone spray end up working to get that noise gone? It's annoying as hell.
