Intec headlight not projecting light

I think the mechanical internals are messed up. The bulb works and it is seated properly. Has anyone else had any issues with their spec-d headlights?

**UPDATE** The headlight is fixed. I guess I hit the high beams enough for it to project the light.

I'm afraid you might be the only person on planet earth that owns these due their insane price. Having said that, I hope you rectify the issue as these lights are very nice

No issues with my Spec-D. What is your problem? Turn signals? DRL Boomerangs?

They're in a projector so they should light up when the bulb is on.

I tried that too. Mine also gets stuck. I think it might be internal. Not sure if these are able to be taken apart and fixed or if I just have to cut into it.

I think they just bake open. I will be retrofitting new projectors into mine in the spring as well as make the boomerang a full switchback. I may also black out the chrome bit in there too

I like your style sir! Are you putting the mirimoto projectors in? I think I spelled that right.

Yeah I think those were the ones I was looking at. Going to do proper research after I get all my suspension goodies on

Let me know how that works out when you do it. I was going to do it but don't have the funds at the moment, I just applied a new clearcoat for the peeling as well. Not sure how I feel about the boomerang switchback since it already has a turn signal built in and I have enough turn signals as it is (Headlights, Stock turn signals where the fogs are, side markers, arrow mirrors, and tail lights). I was considering taking out the current boomerang LEDs and putting in "True White" since right now it's bluish/purple.

TRS sells a kit for Spec-D headlight projectors. Not sure if it's plug and play but it might need smaller adjustments like drilling mounting holes. Honestly, in the long end I would replace the Spec-D projectors. They're pretty crappy as they're projectors for halogen bulbs and not HID. That's why it has a weird cutoff line and erratic hotspots where the light is focused on one area and not evenly spread out.

Also, since you got the Spec-D with us, eventually the UV coating for the headlights will peel. I just fixed mine with a kit.

Yeah the top of mine is peeling. The high beam sticks most of the time and I have to hit a bump for it to go back down lol. Can you post a link for the replacement projectors? Thanks!

Wow, I hadn't actually checked the price on the Intec headlights. Are they ACTUALLY $2000 a pair?!

How is the lighting on them? Do they hold up to the claim that they have better visibility than HIDs?

Sorry you're having issues with them! For that price, they should work right out of the box with no issues... and give you a reach-around, too.

He should definitely change the title of post. He has the cheaper Spec-d headlights

Here's the thread I started a while back when I was interested in them but holding off because of funds.

Spec-D Headlights Retrofit?

Link to the product if you don't want to read through it.

And here is my results of a headlight clearing kit which I used to apply a new clear coat.
