How do you fix a dead spyder bar led tail light for the brz?

I have a dead bar on my tail light and I can't seem to open it with just a screwdriver or a wrench. I don't know the temperature to heat up the tail light to open the housing of the tail light. I've also looked up videos on on YouTube. http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...76a1530735.jpg this is the tail lights I have. My right one is out.

I think the tail lights you have to cut. Could be wrong though
