EVO 7 BREMBO FRONT BRAKES ON BRZ?
Hi guys was wondering what would i need to do in order to fit the EVO 7 Brembo front calipers, because i can get a hold of a pair at a good price, so was wondering if anyone could tell me what needs modification and what is needed to complete this install.

Probably more work than it's worth. The stock calipers aren't a weak point (unless you're only looking at adding bling). You'd also have to compare the piston area to see if it'll shift the brake balance.
If you want to actually improve the braking, look at a proper BBK that suits what you're after. If you just want the brembo bling then you're looking at a custom caliper bracket to match up to the front knuckle. I can't remember if the EVO 7 front brakes are leading or trailing caliper or if the calipers have a bias on the pistons, so you might also have to flip some stuff around to make them work on the FRS as well (bleeders need to be at the top, don't want to change the piston bias, etc). TL;DR; - Cheap calipers could lead you to making it way worse than stock, and costing you a lot of money in the process. |
Bolt pattern of rotors.
Caliper bracket. Proportioning valve. Expertise of brake bias setup. That's what you need to put Evo 7 calipers onto the BRZ. -alex |
I highly doubt on last bit regarding brake bias present, hence writing this off along STI Brembo swap. One can do that, but why spend money/time/efforts on making braking worse?
