Take the GT and spend the extra on mods.

Quick update for ya guys. Sold the Grey GT Manual for July delivery, still got One (1) Sonic Blue Manual GT available for July delivery and One (1) Tornado Grey and Sonic Blue GT Manual available for delivery in August 2012.

Well why would you buy the cheapest version when the car is cheap in the first place?!

Pretty simple, for me the $5500 difference was the difference between me having an 86 now or having one in a year or 2.

After having the GT for 3 days I'm glad I jumped now. The GTS is a little more flashy inside, but when it comes down to driving there ain't much difference.

Given the waiting lists for GTS I'm very surprised people aren't jumping in now and getting a GT. And unlike me if you have the $5500 difference spend it on mods.

For me it isn't even about the money.
I actualy DON'T WANT the extras in the GTS. I dont' want climate control, navi, touch screen, leather seats, push buttom start, the factory 17's. Digital speedo would be ok, but I have no issue with the GT speedo, and HIDs woudl be ncie, but I have no issue with the stock lights...

If the barebones RC version would have been available in Aus would you have bought that? I guess it was a little silly on my part for my previous statement.

everyone has different standards and economic situations

$33k on road isnt the same as $38k on road

$5k is a lot to some people

theres nothing in the GTS that is really killer IMO

GTS is just 50kg's slower ;)

No, I wouldn't have got an RC. Because I want some features as I will be driving it regularly, if nto every day. It won't be a full on race car.
But I wanted a basic sports car. Nothing in theGTS improves performance.

digital speedo? better head light design? 17' rim? better brake? heated seat for wife? leather trim?it worth the extra 5K....

Im only after the gt model too, im after the performance and driving experience of the car soo im not interested in all those gadgets and things. 5000 dollars is alot for a young person buying their first new car.

Hi all, we've taken a deposit on the August arrival Tornado Grey GT and the buyer will let us know in 2 days whether they will be proceeding with the purchase or go the GTS. I'll let you you know the outcome. So at this stage we now only have 1 Sonic Blue GT available for July and 1 Sonic Blue GT for August delivery in manual.

Andrew is there any reason you are only getting GT's? I thought most orders were for GTS?

Scratch all previous gt posts in this thread, my stock control has stuffed up and done some swaps without informing sales. Will update when I know more. Sorry for the confusion.

The cars coming through are our allocated monthly stock, totally separate from build to order cars.

Sorry for the mixup guys - due to miss-communication internally it now seems we only had One (1) Tornado Grey GT Manual for July delivery which has already been sold by me last week. Sorry for any inconvenience caused.
