Temperature knob - interesting observation

I was blasting the heat this afternoon with the fan on high when I tried to adjust the temperature. "Hmmm... it's kinda stiff."

So I turned off the fan. "Yup, that's it."

I guess high pressure upstream of the diverter causes it to hang up. No biggie. In the spirit of being nice to all the things, I'll be turning down the fan before adjusting the temperature.

Just figured I'd share my little discovery.

We just got away from the grandkids for 3 days, with a trip over to the ocean.

Yep, it rained all three days ..... but, we had a real good ocean view from our room...........:w00t:

(our walking on a windy beach in a cold rain days, are over, even though it was our 30th wedding anniversary)

Now, naps rule ......

There is a confirmed "that's what she said" moment in there.
Actually in reread there are two.

Noticed that myself and the only reason I noticed it. My mustang did same. My wifes kia also. I think it's gota be a pressure thing

Good stuff, the more you know.....

go_a_way1 01-21-2016 10:28 AM

haha yeah I always noticed this too. I leave my fan on 2 like 99% of them time. (even in -35C as I feel it might let the engine warm up a little faster if I am not stealing the heat for myself  )

We have a temperature knob that works? I've noticed its three temperatures, super hot, medium, and cool. Not much "adjustment" in between.

Never realized this, then again I don't ever put the fan higher than 2 clicks.

Whenever I go somewhere on vacation the first thing I want to do is go back home. Happy anniversary!
