Will 17x8 fit on the stock 215/45/17 tires?
 

Hey everyone,

I'm looking to purchase 17x8 wheels but I know the stock ones are 17x7 with with the tire size of 215/45/17. Since they are brand new tires and both the prospective wheels and stock wheels have the same rim diameter, I don't want to buy new tires.

Therefore my question... Will the stock tire stretch to accommodate for the extra inch of rim width? Not sure if that is worded correctly or not.

Yeah. It'll work. It's a slight stretch, but Michelin has it listed in the recommended width range
