Rust? Need answers.

Bought a FR-S 2013 recently and I just now got to looking and I was wondering if anyone has an idea what this could be?

Total Loss

Edit: Does that rust appear anywhere else?

No, that's about it.

I have seen this type of "surface rust" before, albeit on much older vehicles. Try to find the source of the moisture. Is this something that has been happening over time? Or did you just now notice it?

Spray it with some WD-40 or any rust inhibitors.

There have been a few cases of premature rust before.

Where was car bought? Where has it been before? Do a Carfax or whatever they are called to see if past owners lived near beach or snowy area.

I'd use a rust stopper if on chassis or remove the pieces if wallet was in good shape.

Definitely go back and look for traces of any other rust forming on the vehicle.

Mine did the same thing. Easy fix ,use scotch brite and metal polish!

It was purchased in Texas, but from what I remember it was first driven in the Oklahoma area.

I'll definitely try to trace it down.
