2015 frs (fit rear camera) problem
I need some help pls. After recovering from Bilateral Hips replaced, I finally felt well enough to start my modding on my 2015 frs. I have read all the tutorials and am going crazy here. I have the Pioneer factory head unit.AXCP-Q14u T 10015. My son purchased for me the Fit camera 12TYcam-k1 which is on the box. I went ahead and started from the rear end. I got the camera mounted perfectly in the indent on the drivers side backup light panel. camera harness tucked nice and neat. At the rear amp I plugged in the factory fit harness. I didn't tuck the harness as of yet and am glad I didn't. Now I proceed to head unit. I got the reverse trigger wire installed on the no2 pin / of the 28 pin connector with no problems ran my wire down to the no 5. Pin the pink wire no problem. Checked with my multimeter ignition on in reverse I have power. Checked power on reverse wire at 28 pin connector and we are good. My kit had the extra harness in the box. My radio head unit does not have the 16 pin factory connector. I am confused so I called the tech where the unit comes from. He says I don't need the 16 pin harness. I read all the previous post and proceed on. New hips are killing me by now (Argue) I ground the harness at the head end plug in the video cables yellow to yellow black to black red power wire from camera harness to acc/ wire (red) next to the orange wire always (hot) on the factory radio plug end. Turn on ignition put car in reverse No back up cam! What am I not dong correctly. since I am not using the 16 pin harness it has a yellow video jack on it also. Inside the box I also have a spare video jack quick connect. Help pls. Thx Steve

Frs Backup camera problem
RickyBobby, Just updating my problem, I went down stairs this morning at 0530 am, got into my F-15 mechanic mode of troubleshooting. I found the problem, after I double checked my wiring I found that while I was inserting the no.2 pin connector into the no, 28 connector I wasn't getting power on the end of the connector to the radio pin. It was a p.i.t.a. But I got the connector to snap into place and power was finally going to the camera via the reverse trigger wire. Thanks for all the tireless previous posts. As I get more flexible from my hip surgery I am getting my patience back. Thanks for all the help and continued support I get from this website. Of all my previous sports car enthusiast endeavors and forums I have been a member of, this one is by far the most informative and user friendly. I have never read of anybody slamming or belittling another member. Thanks again best regards Steve
