Custom Exhaust Question

Hello All,
I am trying to build a custom exhaust for my BRZ and have a few questions. I would like to use 2 Tomei mufflers but not sure if this is possible. All other piping will be custom. This will be just cat back until warranty goes out.

I would like to do something unique for the exhaust hence why i am doing it this way. Is this possible?

Thanks

Custom Exhaust Question

Like two Tomei type 80 end pieces? So a dual exit?

And anything is possible with a big enough bank account.

Yeah the 80S mufflers yeah dual exit.

It's titanium, so the easiest way is to slip-fit them over some custom piping.

Is welding them still an option. Or is slip-fit the best way to go?

How talented is your welder? Welding dissimilar metals will take a good deal of skill (and as I understand it, you might need an argon-filled blast cabinet to do a good job of it).

That's a very good point. I will have to ask.

you must have won the powerball to buy two type 80's just to ditch a majority of the titanium to replace it with taiwan steel or whatever your guy has

edit: seriously though if you have over $2k to blow on an exhaust... get this

Why go titanium when you can make full aluminum exhaust that's lighter than titanium! ...but of course, if you hit that alu exhaust, you're screwed lol

Anyways on topic, hope you know how to weld titanium pipes, cuz it do need some skill. (so I heard) You can do slip on, but still need to fab, which still won't be easy.

You can do easy way out and buy like Powerhouse Amuse titanium exhaust which sound amazing AND looks nice

You can actually buy just the mufflers. They are around 400 each. But definitely going to look at that Overtake. Thanks!
