Mercedes Style Brake Caliper Cover/Clip

1 Attachment(s)
Hi guys and girls.

This may look a little ricey to some but I was wondering if anyone has fitted a clip to the calipers like this black clip found on Mercedes Benz A250 Calipers?

I feel it gives a more premium look, without going overboard like those disgusting Fake Brembo Covers.

Has anyone done this? Is it even possible? Is it safe?

Thanks in advance.

I think those are designed that way... not one of those things you can just slap onto any caliper.

Looks like part of the calipar. When it's time for me to replace or turn the rotors i want to just upgrade to brimbros

Also seen Golf R's with similar clips http://www.goapr.com.au/9%20stock%20brakes.jpg

Yeah it's probably part of the caliper design, was hoping there would be something to make our calipers look a little less naked haha, because I don't feel like I need Brembos on the street.

The only thing I can think of doing is when you get new brake pads and rotors eventually you could just paint the calipers....

You could have your calipers milled to have some kind of logo or whatnot on them. Not gonna be cheap though. Anything is possible with enough money

Nobody uses Brimbos any more, Bimbos is where it's at now.

You could simply drill and tap the caliper then have plates milled and bolt them to the caliper... probably a bit cheaper and safer

I was going to say the same thing.
Or...... You can lazer etch it.

On top of all this, why do this anyway? How many other cars do you see with its name etched across the brake pads? This ranks right up there with the reverse lockout mod. why

The stock reverse lockout is pretty ugly imo
