I'm giving away a steering wheel...details within (mods it isn't what you think)

I saw something like this done a while ago and figured I should do the same in this case.

FAQ structure because I'm tired and need to go to bed:

Why did I pick the track section to post: Because I figured this is the part of the community who could benefit from it most (also there isn't a general section...just a brz or frs general section).

I have a brz/frs stock steering wheel covered in an alcantara-like material. It is somewhat worn and the glue is getting a little old, which allows you to rotate the fabric around a wheel slightly with a twist.

Why am I getting rid of this: I'm selling my car and trying to get back to owning an sti. I figured the good karma couldn't hurt (wait is that a selfish reason...crap).

Why can't/won't I sell it (it is worth money, you idiot!): I got it for free from a friend of a friend who owns a well know and respected Subaru shop. It was on their development car. Selling it feels rong and throwing in an extra steering wheel when you sell a car sends the wrong vibe to potential buyers.

What are the rules: I'll keep it simple. Nominate someone (s) who you think 1) could use the wheel 2) won't just sell it and 3) (and this is the important one to me) has helped others a lot in this community. They could have helped with advice, wrenching, instruction, research, you name it.

Three votes per person. I'll count them on Friday.

Oh and I reserve the right to change my mind on who gets it....but I probably won't.

So I'm making this a poll now you have until sometime next week when I get around to it to decide.

Not sure if this is against the rules, although it seems somewhat contrary to the spirit of the game, but I'm gonna do it anyway. Lol I'd like to nominate myself! And not in a greedy I want free parts way, but because I can certainly think of a couple other people to nominate but I have no idea if they need/want an extra steering wheel. I definitely know that I do. I absolutely would not sell it, but instead send it to a friend of a friend who does awesome work reupholstering steering wheels. Get it looking brand new/fresh, and enjoy it while I do my best to track my car as much as my schedule/budget allows. Now I certainly haven't helped people as much as quite a few others on this forum, but I have been around for awhile, and do my best to offer useful input when my limited knowledge allows.

If nominating myself is in fact not allowed, then I'll go with @Tcoat, because he seems like a fairly stand-up fella who is always trying to help people. Granted, he's Canadian, so that's kinda an unfair advantage in the nice courtesy department. ;)

I too would like to nominate myself and here's since the beginning I wanted to wrap my steering wheel in alcantara but I have not been able cause of money (Navy does not pay that well, lol) sorry if it goes against the rules but I am not that active on the forums anymore since I work full day in a hospital and then I am with my wife.

Fine then I nominate myself. Because I am a guy who like to custom fab his own stuff and having a steering wheel might give me reasons to make a crazy design or something for it.

Agreed, but don't forget @Wayno , he made a tutorial on how to dial in your own tune and released plenty off custom tunes for petrol and E85.
And there is also @ztan, he is creating alot of opensource rom mods for boostcontrol, flex fuel, etc

So my vote goes to
-steve99
-Wayno
-ztan

This makes me want to start a thread and title is "Who is your favorite club member" with a pole and everything :D @MisterSheep you should get on that

Darn. I forgot to say, "no nominating youself." What about, if you nominated yourself you have to nominate someone else as well.

Racecomp's vote carries extra weight btw
