What the heck?

The third movie should cover up to the downhill vs Ryouske's FC IIRC. In the manga/anime, the 86 was shown at the very, very end, way past that point. What's the 86 doing in the third movie?

I do kinda wanna find out how it fits into the story though.

probably just a shameless plug because it's the spiritual successor of the corolla 86. and, many cars didn't fit initial's d timeline. stage 1 to stage 4 (project D stage) was only the span of like 1-2 years. but they had a bunch of cars from multiple eras. the god hand s2000 and the god foot gtr are pretty contemporary. there's also the 350z and MR-S that all came after 2000.

Though in truth, hot kava is a pretty rare color out here.

Especially in Japan.

I thought those guys only chose Red, Black or White for their cars.

If my last 4 years living here is anything to go by, 99% of cars are Silver, black, white or somewhere in between.

Even when I bought my 86 the guys at the dealership were pushing, quite hard, for me to go with black or white instead.

A wise choice ^__^


Not surprisingly white seems to be the most common, and surprisingly world rally blue also seems to be very common. Those are the 2 colors I usually see when I drive around.
