Let's talk Offset. 17x7.5 +35

Hey guys.

I just wanted to talk offset a bit, since I haven't seen much if any discussion on the 7.5" wheel sizing so far with regards to offset.

I'm pretty much sold on getting Enkei NT03+M wheels in hyper black- see here:
http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/Wheel...sh=Hyper+Black

But the only sizing I'm finding for 5x100 in hyper black is 17x7.5 +35. I see most everyone is going +45 or around that range, and only the bigger 8-9 inch wheels are getting into the 30s for offset.

SO- do you guys think the +35s would poke too much? Look terrible? Affect handling too much? Give me advice. I'm already sold on the wheel and color- I fell in love with them years ago when I saw them in person at a local shop, and I think it will match a black/white car beautifully. I haven't been able to find pretty much any 7.5" wheel with +35 offset in any of the pictures or threads so far.

Crowdsource FTW. Thanks all :)

edit: 4mm more clearance inboard the wheel, and 16mm more poke outside, equal to .62 inchches more poke.

The BBS CH-R that RaceComp runs are 18*8 +38; they posted pictures of how much that setup poked. Your wheels are half an inch narrower, but pushed out 3mm more (if my math is strong right now that would be ~7mm less than RCE). Look up their photos to compare what theirs looks like as it will be close to that.

That's the best picture of their car I could find, albeit without tires mounted. That also appears to be at full droop.

epic. thanks for the pic, that's great. 6mm less than that seems like it would be just fine... I'll haveto dig through the racecomp pictures.

why would you buy 7.5 if you dont mind me asking? why not 8 which that wheel also comes in?

I'm only finding the hyper black in 7.5. If I could get the hyper black in 8, I'd do it.

According to enkeis size chart, you shouldn't even be able to get 5x100 in black

http://www.enkei.com/size_chart/NT03.pdf

Maybe they were a special build, limited production or something - in which case you might want to grab em while you can.
As for poke, I wouldn't be concerned. There are plenty of threads of cars with a 35-38 offset that still sit well inside.

As I said above, because I can't find them in 8" in hyper black. :)

yeah, I know... But I've contacted about 10 companies, and 3 of them said they can get the 7.5s. So... good enough for me!

I'm not really quite ready to buy yet (due to just spending 31k on a car! hah!) but I wanted to finalize my decision now, that's all :) thanks for the help and advice!
