Take Two: Rifle's Supercharged Hyper.Blue Build Thead
 

So, let me put this as a forward to car build thread.

This is my second twin now. The first one was totaled by another driver other than I. Most of my first few mods will be with the parts that I'm able to salvage from the wreck, specifically speaking, the exhaust & supercharger.

But onto me. This is now my 4th car I've ever owned, first one being a '94 Camaro, '02 Firebird, '15 Hot Lava FR-S, and now a '16 Hyper.Blue BRZ. A lot of people ask me why I went BRZ the second time around, and truthfully, I went for the limited. Heated seats, keyless entry, push to start, dual climate control, etc. all things I wanted on my FR-S, after buying it.

The first few mods will come fast and dirty, since I already have most of the parts, but there may be a few gaps as I work in saving up the funds to rebuild the car!

My first "mod" I did to this car was some window tint. Unsure of the specific manufacture of this tint, it was a house brand "premium". It's 15%.

Went and pulled my supercharger from my totaled FR-S. Will be back tomorrow to take my exhaust.

Excellent choice to switch it up. Did you consider a Monogram or RS FR-S? Or just go straight to the BRRRRRRRRRRRRZ?

Told myself if I was doing it again, Subieru. :P

Not gonna lie, if I had my car totaled/ or could do it again, I'd go with either a limited BRZ or a Series.Blue... in white. :p

Also because if I give a girl a ride... I can say I gave her a mustache ride :bow:

As far as an update:

Went and saved what I could off the car. Supercharger was pulled off yesterday, full exhaust was pulled off today - wheels were swapped with stocks by someone who bought them from me. Didn't think blue/bronze would look good.

On a side note, kinda like the stock wheels on the Hyper.Blue, snagged a set of 25mm bolt on spacers for $80 and a set of BC Extreme Low Coils and SPC LCAs dirty cheap for being brand new (less than half the cost of retail). Will be getting them all put on shortly.

Found a seller for a new intercooler, is also willing to bundle a water meth kit with it for $1,000. Currently working my ass off to make a decent commission check to pay for it... This rebuild is going to take a bit longer, as I kinda blew my money on the first go around.. But I'm trying!

Should have the exhaust fitted within 2-3 weeks.. This snow is killer.

Is it safe to say that this one is off limits to coworkers? :popcorn:
