Even with 19" wheels.. dat wheel gap. Still looks amazing. Especially that integrated front splitter that is not super low on the front.

It's been out for over a year and there's a reason its called "STi Performance Concept" and not "BRZ STi Concept" like the other cars STi has showcased at TAS and other shows in the past (e.g. Levorg STi Concept, Forester STI Concept, etc.).

which one are you talking about? the GT300? hehehe

I'm always amused at how race cars have gaps because the suspensions need to work, yet the popular look these days is to eliminate it...

So true! The wheel gap never bothered me till I read it mentioned by so many on our site. Its literally one of those 'once seen it can't be un-seen' kinda things.

I work in the middle of Sydney's *** so its a fairly common thing to see Lambo's and Ferrari's parking around it might surprise a lot of folk that they all have about as much wheel gap as our car, but its just not as apparent due to their monster wheel sizes and lower aspect / rubber band tires.

Almost makes me want to counter wheel gap posts with a Ferrari doesn't need less wheel gap so why should my car?

Everyone has their own view on aesthetics and what looks good or not. Perhaps my mind would change if I had a different style of wheel and or rubber? I'm still stock with both and (to me) they seem fine.

Is your point that this particular concept car will never exist? What I mean is that are trying to show future directions, but they will never build exactly this particular car. For example this car has a very strong engine (+300hp), but it is also a very old design and will never meet future car regulations. Even the FA20DIT engine (the one in the WRX) whould be an outdated engine for a future model ...

Talking about wheel gap, here is the gap of the BRZ car taking part in the 86/BRZ Gazoo series races:

This one was also @ TAS 2016.

As in its not even an indication of future direction for the car. The concept was just Subaru of America's way to introduce the sti performance brand of accessories and parts, not a preview of a possible sti version of the BRZ (even though there already is one in Japan anyway)

Would "based on BRZ chassis STi Performance Concept" be a more fitting name for you?

BRZ GT300 car is the fastest one Subaru ever made. They are really proud of it. The Nürburgring 24h race car is also a good one, but in a much lower category and much slower even though it has similar engine. This should give us a lesson:
