Nameless overpipe/downpipe welds failed and perrin endlink failed

This morning I started hearing a nasty metal on metal rattle. I was worried. After I got home from work I spent over an hour trying to figure out where the sound was coming from. With the help of my beautiful roommate assistant, and a mechanic's stethoscope, a was able to determine it was coming from the post header exhaust somewhere. I jacked up the car and saw the following:

As you can see the weld that held the resonator to the high flow cat failed and was rattling pretty loudly. The weld for the pipe of the resonator was also cracked a little.

I also had a noise coming from my front right suspension area for the last few weeks. Since I was under the car I looked around and found that the endlink's bushing failed as seen here:

I emailed Nameless to see if I could come in to get them to swap in a replacement and emailed Perrin to see if I could come pick up a new endlink. Perrin's customer service has always been stellar so I expect it to be great as always. Nameless's communication and service in the past has been hit or miss for me so we'll see how that part plays out.

We'll see if I come out with extra stuff from Perrin like a boost gauge and Nameless with a red ecu bracket and red belt covers. If they give me a special multi repeat customer discount, I just might. ;)

Where's the break? And was the noise constant?

Yep, one of my frontpipes broke a weld there too.

Break was where the resonator was welded to the high flow cat. The noise wasn't constant but more dependent on the vibrations of the engine at different RPMs. I bent it out a little so hopefully it doesn't vibrate, but now I have a little hole in my cat where the weld was.

Honestly looking at the crack I'd just have it welded if I were you. Much easier and cheaper than taking it off, shipping it back and then having to install a new one.
