Stock height? Looks good, seriously considering a set in 17x8.

I just snagged some tungsten ones as well!! 17x9 +40 Tungsten wearing 245/40 Continentals. Super close to rubbing the front struts as my car is lowered on TRD springs (roughly 1" lower). The coolest thing might've been that two of the wheels didn't need any balancing weights after mounting up the tires. The tech spun them multiple times because he didn't believe it!

The same thing happened to me one wheel took a 1-ounce weight 2 took a quarter ounce and one they spun 5 times had every tech come and look at it but they all decided it didn't need any weight. I gess it must be the wheels not the tires.

That's insane - I've had lots of wheels/tires mounted/balanced and this hasn't ever happened, but then a couple of mine and one of yours were good.

How would you guys describe the way that tungsten looks in person? In some pictures it looks like chrome which is not really what I want, especially on a Hot Lava car. But it other pictures it looks darker which is more like what I want.

It's hard to explain and pic's don't do them justice. They look like a BMX bike I had that was Black Chrome. one way you look at them there chrome from an angle there shinny charcoal. For Hot Lava I would do the silver or the Black. but I did notice on 949's site they have a new color in the 17x9- Beryllium. It look like a polished barrel with a charcoal face.

I've had a few people ask me if they are machined instead of painted. In low light, they're darkish, but in bright light they're shiny (I'll try to attach a pic I took from inside my house, no natural light). 949 is coming out with a new color this month called Beryllium. It may be more of what you're looking for

Thanks guys, the Beryllium does look like it might be more of what I want. Some of the tungsten pictures look awesome and I think its a great color for the darker cars but I think it might not be right for Hot Lava.
