Turbo.

My dealer refused to do any additional work. This is Steven creek subaru in NorCal. They first said yes, but on the actual day, they refused to do it and wanted to charge full labor. Doesn’t make sense. They just hate me. Oh well.

Not an opportune time to replace the spark plugs?

djrbash 01-18-2019 02:08 AM

does anyone know if a coolant flush is done with the valve spring recall?

Coolant is listed in the parts. Doubt they do an actual flush though. They will just drain out what they need and then replace it.

What about swapping over to the revised throw-out bearing design?

Then I wouldn't have left the car. I realize you may only have so many choices with a Subaru (fewer dealers) but from a customer prospective that makes no sense.

#1 Plugs
#2 Throw out bearing/clutch
#3 Address any other leaks you may have on the car
#4 Does car need other maintenance? Trans or Diff fluid, Alignment, brake flush, etc. Great time to get it done as you will be at the dealer and have a loaner.
#5 Motor Mounts?

As I posted in the other recall threads, they're doing my plugs and clutch assembly. Charging me a half hour of labor for clutch, no labor on plugs. Priced plugs at $8-10 a piece which is very fair. They even asked if I had a preferred oil weight and what expected capacity is with my oil cooler installed

The OP's question was "more than spark plugs".

That's the reason I said "nothing" - ;) (nothing, more than spark plugs).

Is this a test to see whether or not ol humfrz is payen attention?

As Willie would say - "after taking several readings, I think my mind is fairly sound".

Now, my body is shot - but, that's not what were talkin about - was it? - :confused0068:
