DFW caravan on 8-7-15 to 3rd Annual Texas FT86 meet
This thread is for everyone in DFW or surrounding area interested in attending the 3rd Annual Texas FT86 day! It is NOT an actual cruise, just an organized drive down to the meet.
For those unfamiliar with last year, here is the thread (the first post shows the actual times and stops we made): http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=69847 With that being said leaving earlier on Friday is better as we will have to deal with less traffic through out the drive, especially in the Austin area. Last year we hit Austin around 5ish and dealt with rush hour. I think the best scenario for us is to leave the southern DFW area around 12-1 at the latest. **UPDATED** (as of 8/4/15) MEETING TIME: NOON Here is a map with our current planned route: https://www.google.com/maps/d/edit?h...E.kyNy34N2nL2M This map says it will take 5 hours and 41 minutes @ 312 miles. The map shows our: 1. Meeting point (I20 and Great SW PKWY@ Kroger parking lot) this is just as an idea, I tried to find a south central location in DFW. 2. Stop in West at the Czech stop (104 South George Kacir Drive, West, TX 76691) 3. Lime Creek 4. Meeting point for t-shirts and possibly dinner, Toyota of Boerne, 31205 Interstate 10 Frontage Road Boerne, TX 78006 If you are interested let me know in the thread so I can add you to the list below and we can have an idea of how many people are looking to go and start coordinating. Interested: @Shneegle @carbonBLUE @Dustin @Ramster @Texaz Boy @ZachTTerrell @Rulin I will always do my best to update this thread when I can! :thanks: |

I'm a maybe!! I'm driving down to waco that day to spend the night so I might tag along

Will it be the same route as last year? Do you guys want to go to the salt lick instead of getting pie at blue bonnet? I'm open to suggestions. Austin is a hot spot for home made food you can't quite get anywhere else.

I edited this map with salt lick at the end just to see. Is this the right salt lick? I didn't realize it was that far south of Austin lol https://www.google.com/maps/dir/711+...d30.131557!3e0 |
OR we can always stop by the Czech Stop which is awesome.
