Few questions about rustproofing exposed metal
I'm going to be cutting my fenders in order to add widebody overfenders and I'm concerned about and rusting that may occur by exposing any metal. This is more of a concern in the front as the rear will have the metal shroud folded and sealed over the exposed metal.
Another question, is it possible to fill in the divets of a widebody kit with bodyfiller or another mixture then have that painted over to give it a cleaner look (Cheaper then going molded). Divets/indents as seen here: Thanks for any help! I really appreciate it :) http://imgur.com/Z3jmFek.jpg |
I'd be interested in this as well to winterize the installation spots from my side skirts/lip/diffuser

Paint and clearcoat? Or just clearcoat the rivets/screws before using them.

OH! So while this may not be the absolute best way to attack this, B is for Build had a pretty great method as to solving this:

And I used rivertnuts and bolts to hold the kit onto the car. I covered the rivetnut with silicone when installing them. |
