Sargy's Second Annual Mid Atlantic Mega Cruise @ Skyline Drive

With the major success of my first cruise to the Mid Atlantic Mega meet, The 2nd one will be better than the first!

A lot of details will emerge over the summer on the first post with a couple placeholders.

Max Speed Limit Will be 80MPH (based on Locations on I-66) your cooperation with the speed limit is very much appreciated like the first cruise:wub:

Skyline drive Limits will be adjusted. Top speeds should be 40-45 on the straits...Then 60-65 for the corners ;). Thats a good street pace that everyone can keep up to with little to no risk

For now start planning. This will be on August 4th all day on a Sunday starting very early (im working with 6-7am) for best results and less traffic driving. I hope no one has plans already :(. In case of a rain day, reschedule will be on August 18th, if both days are full of Rain, Reschedule will be on September 1st. In case that day gets rain. I'm not gonna reschedule and cancel this!

BBQ around noon with @OrbitalEllipses ;) and the southeast region hopefully, Cameras, Scenery, and FT86's Grazing the mountain side. Lets make this Happen!

At some point in May or June I will be driving the road again, again, and again to get all notes and ask around for permission on a lot somewhere nearby I-81 and I-64 (between Waynesboro & Charlottesville) for a faster return home for everybody to allow us more time as a unit.

List of Drivers:
-LPC_FRS
-Sargy
-nataku
-Grishbok

:thanks:

Uh, which Saturday? I'm in Montana one of the earlier weekends...

If we are going to truly drive skyline....we have to do it early as balls before traffic and cops are out...other wise I see it as a drive 20 min, park, kick tires, and repeat.

On a Sunday. What day are you going to Montana?

Sargy 04-30-2013 09:51 AM

South east region has been notified for a meeting point at one of the parks!

Ive done a few runs there in cars/ on bike....We go for the corners...not the straits.

Your top speed should be 40-45 on the straits...Then 60-65 for the corners. Thats a good street pace that everyone can keep up to with little to no risk.

Thanks for the tips! I will add those on to the first post

the 80MPH was for I-66 since we will all be driving on the way there from the starting point that I still have to choose
