93 Gas in Des Moines, IA?

I am moving to Des Moines, IA (Urbandale, Johnston area) in a fews weeks, and wonder if anyone knows a good place for 93 gas. I was there about a month ago but did not see anything pass 91 :-(

depending on the altitude, it's not necessary. You can't find 93 anywhere at all in Colorado and for good reason; it's just not necessary. The higher the altitude, the lower the pressure therefore 91 does the same thing in Colorado as 93 in lower altitude states.

Thx Joe, I think it's only about 900ft in Des Moines.

I live in northwest Iowa and I've never seen 93. Just run 91 or switch to e85 :)

Wow I can't believe I'm only just seeing this post, but I know for sure that the Kum & Go on Mills Civic Parkway in West Des Moines, near Prairie View, has 93 octane fuel. There are a few others in the metro that do as well. The places that have 93 octane seem to have it with ethanol in it, and the places with just 91 octane have it without ethanol.

Of course, as late as I am to the thread, I figure you've already found your 93 octane fuel. I'm looking at getting another 86 twin in late summer or early fall this year, so maybe we should start an 86 meetup or something, haha. Des Moines FTW!
