North LA County

Just curious who else is out there in northern LA County.

I tried to buy from Theo De Vries at Galpin in Valencia, but they were already at 6/6 and not getting more this year. He pointed me to AV Subaru as a dealer that might still have a couple.

BTW, if you're buying anything Galpin sells, get it from Theo, I just purchased car from him a couple days ago (CX-5 Touring AWD), and the process was wonderful! He really was more concerned with my being happy with a purchase than selling the car himself. I highly recommend and will buy everything I can from him in the future.

So ... pre-ordered yesterday from AV Subaru, in Lancaster.
They had 2 left out of 5. (I was 3/5.)

I'm getting an WRB Limited, 6MT, AD RV Mirror w/ compass & homelink.
no info on delivery date sadly, but hopefully I'm driving it earlier in the summer than later.

Did you have to pay a markup at AV Subaru?

No I did not.
Just a $500 deposit (obviously).

Damn, that road on the way to Fillmore from LA (CA-23N) would be excellent to test out handling on this car. I'm definitely heading there once I get my car haha. Even though you can only drive up to 40mph in those mountains/canyons before it gets really scary, it'd be a trip worth making just to toss the car around :)

Indeed!

I'm going to drive Elizabeth Lake -> Lake Hughes -> some unplanned route back home when I take delivery.

Quite a few good roads around there.
