**UPDATE**86 Feast Event**Sept. 20, 2015**W/PICS!

When: Sunday, September 20, 2015 11:00am-2:30pm
Pre-meet @ 10:15am (location to be announced)

Where: Griot's Garage Tacoma 3333 S 38th St, Tacoma, WA 98409

Why: A Feast of 86s and food!

Alright guys/gals! It's time for our last big 86 event for the year! This time we will be doing a BBQ and Meet & Greet! The main event will consist of a car show consisting of us! It's time to bond and meet our fellow 86 enthusiast!

The set-up for this will be very similar to our recent "We've Got 86 Event." We will meet up at the pre-meet location (to be announced) and convoy in groups to Griot's Garage.

Please do not try and skip the pre-meet as no other cars will be allowed into the designated car show area before the main convoy has arrived and parked.
@Jonesy86 will take care of our Portland folks who are interested in attending!

If you are simply interested in coming for the 86 car show and meet & greet that is absolutely fine! We do not expect you to bring nothing but a smile and positive attitude!

If you are going to participate in the BBQ I would like to ask for a commitment from you individuals to bring the needed items. Once that is met, we can bring other dishes and such!

We strongly encourage bringing different/specialty dishes! This is a feast right? Just as long as it serves at least 5-7 people we should be fine :)

Needed items! (5)volunteers for Meat, (4)Various Buns (specify which one), (3)Plates/Utensils, (4)non-alcoholic beverages, (4) Chips or Dessert

Right now we will plan for 40 people to be eating and participating in the BBQ. If the number of confirmed people increase I will adjust this thread accordingly.

I don't expect anyone to spend more than $20 when bringing food items, but if you want to then thank you!

GET EXCITED! THIS IS GONNA BE AWESOME!

**As usual please "thank" the post to confirm attendance. ALSO, post what you would be bringing if you are participating in the BBQ!**

***PRE-MEET INFORMATION***

**East Side cruise to Tacoma Pre-Meet led by @RobertPaulson

Hello fellow eastsiders, Bernie of EightSix Sessions has asked me to set up an eastside pre-meet as there is enough interest in the area to grab a decent amount of cars to roll up together. We will be meeting at the eastgate park and ride which is a typical spot for us on the eastside which offers easy access to i90 and few lights lose anyone. We'll be going to the premeet at the Courtesy Auto Service & Tire of Tacoma, 4502 South Steele Street #701, Tacoma, WA 98409. Travel time is roughly 45 minutes so to get there safely by 10:15 roll out will be at 9:25 sharp. i'll probably arrive around 9:10 fueled up and ready to rock.

86 FEAST Schedule of Events!

Alright guys/gals looks like the weather will be holding out for us tomorrow :)
From the hours of 9am-3pm it looks like overcast with a light shower in the afternoon. If you are driving from an area with rain, don't get discouraged as the weather in Tacoma should be cool and cloudy.

Here is the basic schedule of events for tomorrow.

Sunday Sept. 20th 2015

10:00am-10:15am-86 Roll in to Tacoma Mall PRE-MEET Spot
1015am-10:20am-instructions given for car show/meet and greet/BBQ
10:20am-11:00am-86 car set-up at Griot's Garage
11:00am-12:00am-Food Preparation
12:00-1:00pm-86 FEAST FOOD!
1:00-2:00pm- 86 Performance Exhibition (details tomorrow)
2;00pm-end of Event!

This is a basic idea of what the schedule of events are for tomorrow. As you can see we only have several hours (3) together with a number of things to do. We like to keep things short so that we have maximum participation for the full event!

That being said I kindly ask that all of you show up on time or earlier. Also, if possible please stay during the duration of the event so that we have ample time to take photographs/video of the cars nicely lined up!

Lastly, have FUN and Interact! Get to know your fellow 86 enthusiast!

Until tomorrow guys/gals! Stay Safe!

86 Sessions Front Lip Deal available on Sept. 20 2015!

SpeedZone has agreed to sell and install the front lip pictured below for $130. It is polyurethane. The $130 including shipping, tax, and installation. The lip usually sells for $120+ tax with a $40 install fee. I know there are ebay lips and such that run for cheaper. I am just trying to offer our 86 members a viable option from a reputable local dealer.

On the day of the 86 Feast they will install the lip while we enjoy our BBQ. This would only be available to the first 10 people to commit. All that is needed is that you pay on the day of 86 Feast and the Team at SpeedZone will professionally install the lip while we enjoy our Feast!

Lips will be available for both the FRS and BRZ. I have seen the finish on both and they are able to go on without painting. They also weigh less than a pound (no scale used)

Let me know if this is something any of you would be interested in!

First 2 pictures are for the BRZ, Second is for the FRS and an installed picture

Can't wait! I am so excited to meet all of my new 86er friends. This will probably be my first event with the group. Now....what should I bring for the BBQ? Is there anything specific we still need?:burnrubber:

Bakchoii 08-19-2015 01:49 PM

@slyphen im guessing there will be the usual D*cks drive in/cruise to the main event? Also if there's anyone in the Mount Vernon/Whidbey Island/Bellingham/Burlington Area, I can start a meet-up point then we'll cruise to D*cks and roll all together to Tacoma.
