FS (GA): Tein Monosport Coil Overs

SOLD

I'm selling my BRZ and have some various parts left to sell.

These Tein Monosport coil overs are great for daily driving as well as the track.
They are like new and have around 5k miles on them.

Asking $1000 plus shipping. I can meet up if you're local to the Atlanta area.

Link to more info on these: Tein Monosport

Hopefully this 2nd pic works... it's in the same shared folder as the first...

What are the spring rates? also, how was the ride quality? Im debating on Tien's or BC coilovers

GTHachiRoku 02-11-2018 02:55 PM

Not to be a downer, but BC is junk. We've had quite a few owners in our group have failures with BC coilovers. Tein coilovers are re-buildable and they stand behind their products. The spring rate on these are higher than some (8kg/9kg), but the superior dampening makes it so it's unnoticeable on the streets.

They ride approximately similar to stock, but offer substantially improved response to driver input, resulting in increased cornering confidence.

I preferred these on the track compared to many other setups I've tried (cheaper Tein Street Flex, Ohlins Road and Track, Bilstein B16s). Honestly these would only be bested by something along the lines of a JRZ setup or the Tein SRCs.

Thanks for letting me know that BC coilovers are garbo! how many many miles have you put on these?

GTHachiRoku 02-11-2018 09:08 PM

Somewhere around 5,000 miles. Many, many track days though.

Love your honesty. I wanted to take these off your hands, but I did some digging and saw your build thread and I'm weary of buying used coilovers especially having seen track days.

btw, your 2nd picture doesn't work!

No problem. But that's what they're for :D

Not really a wear and tear type part. It'd probably see more wear if they were driven on daily and left out in the elements.
