None in stock to buy or rent...

Actually Sears is a solid idea and they're WAY closer than Harbor Freight. Gotta check there after work.

Mounted the federals on the XXR's, surprised on how little they stretched. 225/40 on 8.75...

Pics on the car? Wheels look decent not a fan of off brand tires

Stock struts disassembled. Built one front corner of the Koni struts, but I have a feeling I'm missing new top nuts for the front. Stock ones DO fit, but I've emailed TiC for clarification.
@leon78 @Grimlock did you guys get four new top nuts or two?

Could be why mine are missing

Don't have my car still.. Lol.

as to the federals, they are rated well for street use, figured I would give them a shot. Cheap enough if they suck I'll get something else..

Your struts were missing the chassis to top hat nuts on the front. I'm talkin' bout them big 'ole sumbitches that hold the strut top to the damper shaft.

One of the collar/spacers that go on the threaded portion of the shaft doesn't want to go on. Might have to file down the inside a little bit.

OHHHH those gotcha

this one underneath the cap http://i.imgur.com/yqDQq.jpg

Yep, those! Fronts fit, rears don't. Rears had new nuts (with a nylon o-ring aka nyloc nut), but I don't see new front ones. Also have to slot the dust cap as the adjuster slots won't let the cap seat completely.

No chance I'd ever get this done in one weekend with the car in the air. Thanks for letting me borrow your stock pieces! These pass through sockets are crucial. I might not give them back.

kanundrum 04-17-2013 12:11 AM

LOL yea def not in one weekend shit always happens haha np.
