I keep running into one bug. Basically I use rest mode a lot between game sessions. If I start rest mode inside GT7 and then wake it up and it's in one of the racing modes, then the world map never loads. So I have to entirely close the game and restart it.

I gave up after being on the PSN list, getting the invite, waiting an hour in the queue, and finding out they were out of stock. My Fiancée ended up getting one at retail price for me. She accidentally hacked Amazon basically. She clicked order, it said out-of-stock, but then when she went to back out she got stuck in some wierd loop and it ended up in the cart, lol! Probably some kid at home crying somewhere but whatever [emoji1745] one less little pre-teenager screaming profanity at me while they beat me at everything with their speedy reaction times.

What experience mode are you guys playing in? I started in whichever the normal/middle one is but I might try the hard mode. At least so far doing the Cafe stuff the races are super fun but could stand to be a little more challenging. They're only real difficult if my car is underpowered. Well, except for some reason during the French hot hatch ones it felt like the opponents finally started driving a bit more defensively.

I race in hard mode with all assists off. It's REALLY hard already and I'm only on book 15. The American racing seemed very aggressive they were spinning me out all the time. Before that the only time I felt the A.I. got agressive with me was if I bumped them first.

Yup. I have that issue too. I have to start another game, and then go back to GT7.

I picked Hard cause I always pick Normal. It's pretty unforgiving unless the car is right

The American muscle car menus are really difficult lol. I stupidly bought a bunch of performance parts like an ft86club newb without first buying racing slicks, and then it didn't matter how fast my car could go because it could never stop spinning its tires everywhere. So I had to run some dummy races to make 38k credits to afford new tires.

You all are making me extremely jealous about not having a PS anymore.

Took my R34 to the spicy races in the Expressway and Tsukuba. Right under the 550PP rating, and I can't place better than 3rd! The American Muscle car menu sucks. I can't hang with my Camaro.

I did the EXACT same thing! [emoji28] [emoji1787] I was like WTH and then I was like oh you big dummy you're still on comfort tires. I built a supercharged Stingray that wasn't even driveable until the extreme tires were on it.

That'd be interesting, although I don't think I've heard of them introducing new difficulty levels. I'm learning to enjoy the race rather than look to get 1st place each time. Otherwise it becomes this humdrum going through the motions and cruising to the finish line in first place with the runner up like 30 seconds back.

Yeah the licenses I need the gold for the extra car but if in a race I just need third to win a car and move on for my Café book then 3rd place... Good enough! Next item. I can always come back later and try to get gold in every event or whatever when I finish the book. There are 39 I think from my Google fu.

There's some news articles about a new racing AI they made for this game. Last I heard it seemed they didn't include it yet. Could be there.

I'm thinking 3 peppers is Sophy mode. The AI will actively block you on top of everything else we have been experiencing. They will also pixel peep the track limits.

Sounds about right with what I read in a few articles as well. Not sure what pixel peeping means though.

I think the idea is that they have the same "perspective" as a player, but they can "see everything" whereas we have peripheral vision as we drive. So they might be tuned to be more precise because they can see exactly where the apexes are and stuff.

So yesterday I did change to the two chilies/hard mode.

I'm finding that they really want you to use slipstreaming while racing. Basically you stay behind a car as long as possible and then you pass them. When you do this, they don't really "block" you too actively. But if you're just constantly trying to pass and weaving then they will try to block you.

The absolute limit of the track limits. They will cut into the grass on corners to shave off time.

Game Stop had in-store PS5 bundle this morning. Went this morning… 4 available, but I was 5th in the line.

So Google & looks like GT7 can play cross platform PS4 & PS5, so bought GT7 on PS4. Now PS4 is DL all the content… prob take til tomorrow to actually play lol

...aaaaaaaand the update has messed up the license tests/missions by putting comfort or racing tires on dirt.

meanwhile I used the discord server yesterday to get the xbox series x as well ;)

I think I had this same problem.. welp time to re-try it.

Braking zones are starting to bother me lol.

I feel like some of them just don't appear at all where they should, and they definitely don't seem to adjust to the car I'm driving or how fast I am going. It's really weird.

Use them to get to know the tracks, then turn them off. I'll keep the brake indicator on, cuz sometimes I forget where the braking zones are. I usually use track markers/meter markers/trees as references for when to start braking.

I feel that in 7, the brake indicator is either spot on or actually a little too late, whereas in Sport, it was too early.

I gave up on the Willis mission for this reason. No way I can find at least a second off using non dirt tires. I'll reattempt when ever they fix this issue.

Yeah I don't use the nannies at all, so I don't know what youbguys are talking about, haha. But I did leave the last three of A at silver for now... back to the book for now.

There's an assist that will flash red lines where you should start and release the brakes, separate from the brake indicator.
