On the side note, if anyone wanna start practicing drifting in GT, Sileighty is in used car market. Highly recommend it for a beginner drifter. It doesn’t require in-depth suspension setup & it just keep going sideways! https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...af604c20b7.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...33fbd17495.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...1003404bb1.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...8536cc8bef.jpg |

If you're using a controller, the PS5 version is better as the haptic feedback offers the best experience possible when compared to a PS4 version. We were mentioning this a while ago, but is kind of weird in a way, playing with a PS5 controller the game gives you quite a bit of feedback on the throttle and brake controls. You don't get that much steering wise. A starting wheel setup (G29/920,etc) will give you steering feedback, but no brake and throttle. You can't really go wrong with either, it all depends on how precise you want to be and it really depends on the vehicle. |

Are there wheel setups that give throttle and brake feedback? |

That's why I specifically called out the PS5. Is not comparable to a wheel, but if you're using a controller. The PS5 one offers a good amount of feedback to offer the best experience possible on controller. |

I believe the Fanatec Clubsport comes the closest in terms of feel. Wheels like the G923 have potentiometers which digitally determine how hard to brake depending on the degree of travel. Whereas the Fanatec ones use load-cell which measures force. I'm sure there are better setups out there, but if I don't know about them, is because I can't afford them. |
I was going to say for anyone using Logitech G series pedals (I have an adapter to use my old G27 pedals with my T300 RS wheel) you gotta get a brake pedal spring upgrade. I got mine from Richmotech a few years ago. It's a spring with a rubber stopper in it that helps turn the last 10-15% of travel super-stiff to help it act a little more like a load cell.. or at least make driving cars with no ABS more manageable.
I can't find it anywhere though, seems they quit making it. Quick google search for something similar only turned up replacement coil springs. I know there were a lot of DIY solutions too, worth a look. |
Did the BR86/BRZ race at Nurburgring F1 a few times last night. Kept getting sorted into groups that always had 1 A+ driver with a 2:24.xxxx qualifying time. Thanks a lot PD, lol.
My best showing was gaining 4 positions. Really just happy it wasn't raining:bellyroll: |

I tried Miata Tsukuba 1hr lap again. I’ve improved and got 2nd (last time 3rd). I was expecting about same amount of reward as last time… but NOPE! I got Jack shit! NOTHING! If you reduce the prize credit for getting a same position is one thing, no fucking credit? GT, that’s BS…
& to add, daily ticket was fucking 1 star… SMH |

It would be worth picking it up. They have fixed a lot of issues encountered since the release. Plus, if you're looking for a relaxed multiplayer session, we try, and I say TRY to hold a race session on Saturday nights. Rules are pretty simple. We have another thread for it. |

Huh.. that's certainly odd. Also, I didn't know you could customize the helmet and racing suit. |

Yup! Same spot as livery. Speaking of GT Auto. It always bugs me that, car maintenance & car customization can’t go back & forth. It literally kick you out to the main map to go back to other GT Auto. It’s been like that for…. Forever & it bugs me for forever! |

For the Missions you only win money once for each level (bronze, silver, gold). And since Silver is places 2nd - 5th, yeah you get nothing. I find it really frustrating as well, to commit to an hour long race and get awarded jack sh*t.
On a brighter note, I did spa the other night and it didn't rain!!! So that's like 1 out of 10 tries no rain (still ridiculous). Also won this bad boy with a 4 star card the other day, though all cards, regardless of stars, still give me the lowest payout every time. Does anyone else have this car? Looks pretty insane: 3000 lb weight and 1600 hp |

Finally beat the Tsukuba 1hr race. Was it worth it? No, not at all…

Didn’t know Nessie can be found in GT7. I guess it’s been there since GT5

Did anyone else sign up for the Toyota Gazoo Racing GT Cup? Started last night and they didn't waste any time ramping up the difficulty. The SF19 Formula car at Spa :eyebulge: That was NOT easy!
Annoyingly, the car's physics felt differently when I came into the room to qualify. I had spent around 90 minutes practicing in "free run" but when it was time to actually compete I felt like the car was understeering more. Has anyone else ever experienced that? I got used to it, and managed to qualify 4th of 16 for the 20:00 race. And by the 2nd lap I was in last place due to many self inflicted f*ck ups :bonk: Finished 10th. Thankfully, unlike in life, you can get a do-over haha. So I signed up for the 21:00 race as well. My qualifying time was 0.300 seconds faster, but this group was faster too so I took P7 to start. A few people bogged the start and I was able to shoot up to 4th place before Eau Rouge. And this time, zero screw ups! I was able to fend off any challengers behind me and eventually had a 10+ second advantage over 5th. The race leader, who had qualified over a second faster than me (sheesh) apparently got into a scuffle with the other front runners and dropped back close to me. I was able to get a run on him on a few of the straights but never made a move because I knew he'd repass me eventually and would just throw off my racing lines. Very happy to bring it home in 4th. |
Wasn't expecting an SF19 car in that championship. Assumed it was just going to be the GR86 and GR Supra. I can never make the race times, so I don't bother entering.
|
I don't own a winged formula car in the game, so getting ready for this race was a massive adjustment for me. Hopefully I'll do better with the GT street based cars.

I described it as a lag. It manifested as a slight increase in sluggishness and/or decrease in grip. When many cars were close together on track in an online race, it was like the calculations for where they all should be and how your car moved got sloppier. It felt like there was an increase in calculation error that resulted in slower cars. Once the pack spaced out a bit it would diminish. I knew it didn't have to do with tires warming up or dirty air or anything because it wouldn't happen at all in races with small fields even when the pack was all close. GT6 quick match was pretty sparsely populated at times. Good job in the races though, especially with knowing your limits and running a smart race. Reading through your experience tempts me to come back to it a little |

Hahah, I dunno? In the 80s and 90s F1 was basically impossible to watch as a kid. So I watched CART, and thus got Penske Marlboro vibes from the livery.
|
Is it just me or GT’s weight shaving doesn’t change the driving character? Example, stock RCF is fatass. If you do weight reduction, weight way less than stock 86/BRZ. Even w that, still drive like fatass. I get the RCF & 86/BRZ are different and physics are different… but still disappointed
Also didn’t know we had this many Easter eggs https://youtu.be/d1HwUhtTdW4 |
So far, I think I've only put a weight reduction on the R34 road car, and didn't really bother with testing the differences in driving dynamics. lol.
GT has been doing Easter eggs for quite a while now. Quite entertaining to see them all (only watched videos, never actually went and looked for them). |

It appears to be a tribute to it. Wonder if they'll ever have iconic F1 cars as DLC. Senna's, Lauda, Hunt, Schumi, Fangio... |
I really screwed the pooch yesterday afternoon. Was doing the Le Mans grind to earn some money. And for a refreshing change it didn't rain! I was up around 20 seconds near the end of the 30 minutes and...I crossed the finish line forgetting I had to do that one extra 7th lap. Problem was I had zoned out for a sec and only had 0.1 laps left on my fuel tank.:bonk:
Game over, lol. The game wouldn't let me drive back and enter the pits (as it really shouldn't hahaha). So that was it. I just quit and exited. :( |

Yeah, I didn't have the patience for that.
On a brighter note I got the Super License. And golded all the tests....except for the final one, Spa. At least not yet. So nice of PD to make a damp Spa track the final test with a 70s racecar lacking downforce. Thanks so much.........:brokenheart: |
