I can't win any of the Human Comedy races to save my life. And apparently all the advice/tuning set ups I find online are all "pre-update" and worthless. And the AI has no qualms about spinning your ass out either.

I think that one was one of the easier ones to win. |
Honestly I hadn't tried the single make ones yet because I'm a cheap ass and don't own the Miata or BAC. Over my lunch break however (snicker snicker) I bought the BAC and let loose on Trial Mountain. Upgraded brakes, transmission LSD and bought SS tires.
"Easily" won. I say easily in that I won by 48 seconds but also I didn't make any mistakes. (Okay I didn't brake early enough for the final chicane and touched the wall - 1.5 sec penalty, but otherwise nothing!). I saw advice online to pit every twenty minutes and to start on SS tires but them switch to SM for the final 2 stints. I'm not sure why that was suggested - going 20 min on the SS tires is more than doable. So I did SS/SM/SS. I've struggled on Kyoto (best finish 3rd place pre-update, recently my best is 10th, lol). Also Alsace I got 15th (bronze, woohoo!) and 2nd at Deep Forest. |
I think I did the BAC race on just medium tires with focusing on tire wear.

My BAC and Miata settings.tm These were before the update, so PP has changed. I would just add some ballast and/or reduce the ECU output to bring the PP back down.
I'd probably also retune the suspension now since cars are more understeer-y. Also, I don't think those are where I had the gear ratio/speed set to. Post update, all of my cars have been put to some random speed. |

What kind of retarded mind in GT thought it was a great idea to make a miata 1hr race in the rainstorm? I forgot to buy IM & W tires, so I was stuck racing in RH… result is, I took 3rd place in the first try. I’ve adjusted lil bit more now, so now my miata is pushing +280bhp! I’ll try again tomorrow w this setup

GT's obsession with RAIN in so many races is getting more than a bit annoying. They need to recalibrate their calculating for that. Also, if they're going to simulate a long race by speeding up time then we need radar screens that are able to show a few hundred miles out.
Beat Kyoto last night. Apparently trying to win with an old car (22b) was a horrible idea. Was pretty easy with a Mk5 Supra on RH. Added custom transmission, race brakes, front splitter & rear wing (when tuned to max downforce this actually reduced PP) and race exhaust and the PP was right on 550.00. Won by around 15 seconds. |

Ah, and your rear downforce is much higher than mine. I don't know why my front is adjustable, but yours isn't. I don't think I even messed with adjusting the downforce on the Miata. Lol
And I see you kept the toe in on the rear. I zeroed mine out, which really increases the PP. |
Speaking of the rain, I got the Alfa 155 yesterday since that was one of the cars I used a lot in GT2. Did the LM grind race where it did pretty good. It rained enough to bring the traction bar to the top third, but I tried staying on RH tires and only pitting for fuel (no tire change). Was able to maintain some kind of control, even with that much water on the surface. Built up a little over 2 minutes of a lead, and noticed that by the time I'd finish the 6th lap, I'd have exactly 2 minutes left. So I risked it and parked next to the finish line watching the guy wave the green flag for 2 minutes. Lol. AIs caught up, but decided to put just as the last second on the clock finished, and I crossed the line. Ended up being 5 seconds ahead of 2nd. LOL

I saw the 155 in there, glad something cool popped up. Will definitely have to get in there and try it. Haven't been able to make time to play for a while. |

Castrol Supra FTW. Its a beast. I use it for all GR.3 events because it has a ridiculous amount of downforce. |

I tried to use my R32 as much as I could until it just wasn't doable for endurance races or races where you would normally use GR4-GR3 cars. Its an absolute rocket. I think I've driving the R32 more than any other car. |
I'm getting sick of all the rain. IT DOESN'T RAIN IN EVERY RACE PD. Good Lord, gimme a break!

I really wish GT7 had a system like F1 games, where your team gives you the heads up about rain incoming, or before you go into a race it shows the conditions of the track, fuel left, gap between opponents, race strategy. Even if it was only for GR class events. |
If the intent is to simulate a long race in a condensed format then the radar distance needs to be expanded. 60 mile range isn't very helpful when a storm moves in at 200 mph, SMH.
FYI my mileage leaders right now are: Aston Martin DBR91 - use for almost every Spa 1 hour race R32 GTR (highly modded) - this was the first "fast" car I won that was easy to drive Ford GT (2006) - use to earn credits in the WTC 700 LeMans 30 min race. |

I'm assuming you purchased one online. And not that it was stolen from your house.

Been getting worse than the lowest cash prize in the roulette tickets. One was brakes for a car I don't have nor would want to ever use, and two have been invited for the Euro cars. Blah!
|
My wife is still on the row w winning a car on the roulette tickets. I’m keep telling her, get the engine swap instead of cars lol

I’m trying to understand if it’s genuinely enjoyable with controller, or a little frustrating as some games can feel that way. |
