http://www.carscoops.com/2013/09/fut...ic-type-r.html http://oppositelock.jalopnik.com/new...2015-938691606 Any thoughts? I saw a youtube video of the Japanese car show testing the new CTR and from what I could read from the subtitles they reallly liked it. I recently got to drive a BRZ 6MT (I drive a 6AT) and felt the tranny for a decent lenght drive. I also got to drive a 2013 Honda Civic Si 6MT on the same day at lenght too. I have to say Honda still knows how to make transmissions. It was a noticeable difference. The BRZ looks better as a 2 door coupe, but I have to give the nod to the Honda in terms of fit and finish and the general feel of the car felt a bit more upscale IMO. |
Not coming to the states.
Bleh... |
Would be interesting to drive.

Meh. Doesn't look that far off from the last type-r.
|
Is this the car that Honda claims will take the FWD Nurburgring crown? If so, I have high expectations for it.

Plenty of awesome Euro-only cars out there. Used to piss me off. Eventually I just stopped letting it annoy me. Therefore:
No USA, no care. :iono: |
Honda hates the USA
|
Fuuuck, Honda needs to bring back the damn civic hatch in the states/Canada again.
At least we have a civic, it's not even sold in Japan. I loved my ep3 despite being quite average in speed. |
EK chassis was the last time Honda made a decent looking civic
|
OP that picture is a BTCC spec car... notice the pwr intercooler.

New Honda Civic Type R revealed
http://i.telegraph.co.uk/multimedia/...5_2739269c.jpg
http://i.telegraph.co.uk/multimedia/...4_2739271c.jpg Pictures of the new Honda Civic Type R undergoing testing have been released, prior to the model going on sale in 2015. The car is shown at Honda’s test track in Tochigi, Japan. Although the production version is likely to have different bodywork to the prototype car, it is likely to have a similarly aggressive makeover, with dramatic spoilers and large wheelarch extensions. Honda’s World Touring Car Championship (WTCC) driver Gabriele Tarquini recently tested the Type R at the Nurburgring, Germany. He said: “I was really impressed by the power and the torque of the engine but also by the set-up they achieved.” Honda has confirmed that the Type R will use the first of a new family of VTEC Turbo engines. Its four-cylinder, 2.0-litre unit will produce more than 276bhp. I wish they sold this one here in NA |
Love it!
