Forget the roof rack, kayak fits inside.

http://home.datacomm.ch/dbaer/IMG_0021k.jpg I'm glad there is a solution for the 86 now! :w00t: Thx for posting. |
Any ideas where to buy the Yakima rack for delivery to europe? Can't find european sites that list the parts online.

Roof Bike Rack
Hey just wanted to see how is this bike has been doing. i want to install it but im not sold on it 100% i need your feed back on yours.

So has anyone tried a long kayak? I've seen pics of using the front and rear tow hooks as tie downs but I have two kayaks..
|
@dietz is that a Jackson rockstar kayak? If so what size?
I'd like to get into kayaking and figure my first kayak should fit in my car. But I'm not sure if it makes sense to get a short whitewater kayak for to learn on. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
We have slow moving water here and a white water kayak is terrible for that. I borrowed a dagger to go with some friends it sucked for paddling around.
|
Well all daggers aren't the same it was the short snub nose one. If you stop paddling it turns instantly so you have to paddle all the time, no enjoying the scenery but probably awesome on rapids because how maneuverable it was.

I just came to read the comments

Any updates on the roof rack? Pros and cons? Did it screw up the roof or weather stripping or window glass?

Off topic now, for a first kayak I would not get the rockstar. Too hard to roll. If you definitely want to get into playboating, I'd start you out on the allstar. If you only want river running and some play, take a look at the FUN (which will not fit inside the car...). |
