RavSpec - Advan Wheels

I ordered my Advan RG-Ds from @RavSpec after contacting multiple vendors on this forum and getting the best price from them. They were able to tell me that the wheels were in stock at Mackin and got them drop shipped from Mackin very quickly. I assumed they would be coming with hubcentric rings since the hub bore was not the same as the BRZ. They didn't arrive with any, so I immediately sent a PM to @RavSpec:

Mark.

I got them today, and they look and fit amazing. I was hoping that the Advan RG-Ds would be coming with hubcentric rings. Do you have any available or know where I can get them?

Yeah I'll send some out for you.

That was the last I have ever heard from @RavSpec. I have contacted them a few times since then, and my PMs go ignored. I really just wanted to see if Advans ever come with hubcentric rings and whether or not I could purchase them. I was very happy to hear he would be sending me some just like that. I have now come to the realization that @RavSpec is the kind of company that works very hard to keep a customer happy right up until they get the money and get the product shipped out.

I just wanted to warn the site's members that sometimes you do get what you pay for and sometimes it is better to pay extra to get better customer service.

People rave about them, but I found their correspondence/response after payment severely lacking.

I've had nothing but great experiences with them. I've bought five sets of wheels from them as well as all of my suspension pieces for my brz through them. I'm local so I can contact them for you and see what the deal is. They've been swamped with WBM which may be the reason why you haven't heard from them, either way ill see if I can help you get in touch.

I bought some XD9's last December from RavSpec and all went well. In fact he forgot to throw in the hub centric rings, so I contacted him and they were immediately shipped out without delay.

Guess I got lucky ?

Or I just got unlucky. I can accept that they are busy, but I got that PM from @RavSpec on 05-15-2013. I figure giving them a month was an acceptable amount of time.

Hi King Tut:

I apologize I didn't get a chance to get these out for you as soon as we can.

Hub rings is not included with wheels from the manufacturer. We actually have to purchase them separately.

We included them for all our wheels sales but we do have to pay extra and not charging our customers.

Advan has a weird bore size, unlike RAYS, WORK and WEDSSPORT.

I am currently out of stock on the hub rings, that could be the reason I haven't send them out to you.

I'll check on this right away and maybe express them in so I can fill your order.

Please email me which I check 24/7 instead of PMing.

mark@ravspec.com and give me your invoice # or first/last name.

You can also call me at 6315863520, one of my staff will be able to help you out immediately.

Mark.

Just want to clear one thing up, you asked us where to purchase the hub rings, I offer to send them to you free.

It wasn't a paid purchase that we didn't send out the hub rings.

Correct. I don't feel like I said that anywhere.

RavSpec 06-18-2013 09:46 PM

Ok, so we did complete our deal.

The hub rings free of charged was a bonus to you.

So why do u need to warn other forum members about our customer service ?

I guess being nice to a customer and giving out free accessories has become a negative ?

The fact that you offered to "give out" these hubcentric rings, then when I asked you about them twice, you completely ignored my PMs. You never missed a PM when I was ordering the wheels. I e-mailed you as requested.

RavSpec 06-18-2013 09:57 PM

I received your email and Ill try to get them out for you. I am waiting for them to come in at the moment.

I'm not perfect, I missed Pm sometimes.

But you have other ways of contacting me but never did.

I feel the fact that you bad mouth us while we are trying to give you free accessories (which we are not obligated to) and pay for the shipping to get these to you is very uncalled for.

I feel that we already complete our deal,
Whatever extra was us providing the customer service and good gesture to our customer.

We are debating customer service here, am I correct? You are telling me, the customer, I am wrong if I did not utilize all methods of contacting you when you didn't send something out that you told me you were sending. I waited almost 2 weeks to install the wheels waiting for the hubcentric rings to arrive which never occurred.

If your PM had just said that Advans don't come with hubcentric rings, and you can purchase them elsewhere, that is what I would have done. When I received no reply to either PMs asking where the hubcentric rings were, I figured that you never intended to send them. I gave it some more time just to see if they would arrive. Then today, I decided it was time to post my review.

Now if you choose to stay true to your word and mail me the hubcentric rings, then I will post that information in this thread. If you choose not to send them, that is fine with me. Just let me know, so that I can purchase them elsewhere. I do appreciate that you are taking the time to reply to me now.

RavSpec 06-18-2013 10:14 PM

Due to the long delay from my supplier i wasn't able to get a firm delivery time for these "free" hub rings for you. Please go ahead and purchase them somewhere else.

I won't know when I will get my shipment of these special bore hub rings.

Unfortunately we did fail you here.

Thanks for the understanding and I apologize for the delay in communication.

RavSpec 06-18-2013 10:23 PM

I make some calls for you and I think
no limit might have some in stock.

Please give them a PM or call to order these.
