are these shift level retainer bushings?
i just did my clutch last night and cleaning up i found these under the cardboard i layed down. Im pretty sure they fell out where the pins went

Yep, those are the front shifter carrier bushings. These go around a pin which is locked in placed by a rotating tab, if that rings any bells.

You can access them without removing anything, but it's pretty tight and blind. I replaced mine with stiffer ones mainly by feel.
