I've seen some updates about new software updates, for GPS and whatnot. Has anyone uploaded a copy of the new SD card so the rest of us can download it? Or was it a separate upgrade?

If so, maybe a tech can upload it somewhere so we can do our own? It's a day long process for me even to get to the nearest dealer and I'm starting to have the GPS issues like everyone else.

Should be able to just zip the card's firmware files and email or upload it somewhere.

Recommend taking the car in. The fix for the GPS includes both new software and moving the GPS antenna, which requires a new mounting bracket.

When was the fix released, and how do we know if we need it or not?

If you just bought your BRZ your VIN most likely is not in the range for the TSB. Also, you'd know if you needed it; the GPS signal dropped out very frequently before I had the fix.
