Drivers side wheel sticks out

2 Attachment(s)
Hi everyone

I recently noticed that my drivers side wheel sticks out more than the passenger side. I can't imagine it being an alignment issue as I recently got it done (also it dosnt feel misaligned). The wheels and tires are also the same too. Anyone have any suggestions as to why this could be?

Maybe the fenders aren't even - :iono:

Thanks for the suggestion, ill have a closer look at the fenders. Hope its that and nothing major

Did you buy the car new or used?

Deemsim 10-18-2020 10:06 PM

I bought it used

Maybe it was crashed before you bought it? Or could there be a spacer that wasn't removed before you bought the car?

EDIT: The gap between fender and bonnet is different on each side, I'd bet it was in a prang before you got it.

what wheels/tires, at what offset, any spacers, coilovers, fancy lugnuts, custom brake rotors, or other voodoo that could otherwise affect the outcome?

Good eye, it's all coming together now, the guy i bought it off did mention it got into a fender bender, he had to replace the passenger fender and front bumper. So its most likely not bolted up evenly.

I dont know why i didnt think of this, I thought (and feared) it had to do with suspension components cause i just had my wheels aligned haha.

It wouldn't hurt to get an alignment done while you're at it. If the shop managed to misalign the bodywork, I wouldn't trust them to have checked out the suspension.

This is funny. My brother got some wheel spacers for his WRX and we threw them on and found the exact same issue. Rear was fine but the front passenger side is easily 20-25mm out from the driver side. Purchased new last year. Never in an accident. He's working with Subaru of America now to figure out what's going on.

We've read it could be a subframe tolerance issue but I'm excited to see what the cause is. I'm excited to see what the cause is on yours (OP) also! I'll let you know what's up with the WRX when SoA gets back to my bro.
