what you did, or what it did?

because i'd check for proper failure modes and wire it backwards.

One of the shop guys hooked up one of the batteries backwards when I gave them the harness to setup.

Or just a fuse for either-current protection.

Haha? :( Sorry. I was just messing around. Didn't mean to mislead you.

Today I learned that sometimes I'm not as funny as I think I am.

I hope reposts are ok here.

Today I learned that "I want my bacon crispy" means "I want it barely above room temperature"

At least I get to eat it. Somehow this is "too crispy"

Today I learned I need to stay off the local classifieds.

I prefer this type of bantering over regular learning. I wouldn’t have taken a second look at the component had you and soundman wouldn’t have said anything. Now I want to learn the why since I am probably going to build these in house now. Vender wants 453 for this stupid thing. I told them it had to be dummy proof too.

that's definitely "steal/sneak out of pan while cooking, but not anywhere near done" level.

Right? I love it too. Isn't that thing fused? More to the point, that zener should be protected against forward bias current ... by a fuse.
